I see patients in person at Held Space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and via telehealth throughout New York State.
Please note: You must be physically located in New York State at the time of your telehealth appointment.
Because I’m licensed only in New York, care is considered to take place where you are located.
If you log on from outside of New York, the visit will be ended immediately and you will be charged the full missed appointment fee.
*Please note that I do not offer sliding scale or discounted rates.
Payment is due on the day of your appointment. Alma sends reminders for past-due invoices, which must be paid within 30 days.
Unpaid balances may result in discharge from the practice.

It’s important to stay consistent with your treatment plan and medication schedule. To help ensure your safety and the best possible care, please plan ahead for refills and follow-up appointments.
At the end of each appointment, Laura will let you know how much medication has been prescribed and when you should return for your next visit. Patients are required to have a follow-up appointment at least every 3 months in order to remain active in Laura’s care and continue receiving medication refills.
Please keep track of your medication supply and upcoming appointments. If you are running low and do not have an appointment scheduled, please allow at least 5 business days for refill processing, taking weekends, holidays, and possible pharmacy delays into account.
If it has been more than 3 months since your last visit, you’ll need to schedule your next appointment before requesting a refill. In these cases, a one-time 30-day supply may be provided to bridge you to your upcoming appointment. After that, no further refills can be issued until you are seen.
For medications classified as controlled substances, please see the Controlled Substances Policy for additional details and requirements.
You can self-schedule follow-up appointments through SimplePractice, my secure patient portal.
Appointments can be booked up to three months in advance and may be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours in advance.
Missed appointments or cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee.

I’m grateful to have an excellent administrative assistant, Emily, who helps keep the practice running smoothly—so I can stay focused on your care.
(And yes, she’s a real person, not a bot!)
Emily will guide you through the onboarding process and is available to answer any logistical questions along the way.
For existing patients, the best place to reach me is through SimplePractice messaging.
Emily monitors messages Monday–Friday (excluding holidays). While our policy allows up to 48 hours for a response, we often reply sooner.
Please note: We do not monitor messages or calls on weekends or holidays.
If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency or thoughts of self-harm, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
